    Every teardown on the blog was done the same way: on a real device, reading the app's own code and watching its own traffic. The Temu piece is 27 minutes of that work.

    Name an app and we do it on commission. The analysis is ours and independent, the report is yours to use.

    Deciding what goes on a fleet

    You're weighing an app before it reaches employee or member devices. We take it apart and tell you what it sends, where it goes, and whether that's a problem in your environment.

    Screening apps at volume

    You're working through a category, a portfolio, or a competitor set. We take each app apart and hand back the findings, with the code or traffic trace behind each one.

    Findings that have to hold up

    For a filing, a dispute, or a regulator. Written so the evidence stands on its own, with what we did and didn't observe stated plainly.

    A written report on the one app, built the way the published ones are.

    • What the app does, how we know, and what we couldn't confirm.
    • Every finding tied to the code or the traffic trace that shows it.
    • Track what leaves the device, and to whom, in a full data-flow table.
    • A "what remains unconfirmed" section. We don't hand you claims the evidence doesn't back.
    • Recommendations split by who acts on them. A fleet decision reads differently from a legal one.
    • Walk through it with the analyst who did the work, if you want to.

    Most commissioned teardowns run $15–25k, depending on the app and how deep it has to go. Fleet and volume programs are scoped on their own.

    Independent, even on commission

    You're paying for the analysis. The finding lands where the evidence takes it, so if the app is clean, the report says so, and it holds up in front of a board or a regulator. The public ratings on this site work the same way: the apps we rate don't pay us.
